What safety features should I be aware of?

Customers should be aware of the dangers of working in a confined space. All cool rooms are fitted with a safety handle on the door and are electrically tested and tagged. They have interior lights that are permanently on while the cool room is connected to the power supply. You must ensure all staff and helpers are aware of and know how to use these features.

How big is the coolroom?

Where should we install it?

A level site is required, with acceptable vehicular access.

Also, a regular 3-pin, single-phase power plug should be within 25 metres of the chosen site. The Cool room runs on standard electricity and a power cable leading to the plug needs to be supplied by hirer. A 2.5mm cable core is required. Bigger rooms may need access to three-phase power.

Do we need to set it up?

No. Cool Lease will deliver the unit and set everything up for you. We pride ourselves on our punctuality, cleanliness and fleet of up-to-date cool rooms.
What’s the best way to arrange the contents?

You can request shelving or the rooms can be delivered empty. We have a selection of shelving sizes available. When stacking the cartons or slabs, it helps to keep them away from walls. This leaves gaps for the air to circulate, allowing the cool room to work more efficiently.

How about getting things really cold?

Give serious consideration to the lead-time to your requiring the chiller. Depending on quantities, it can take up to several hours to refrigerate some product, so try and co-ordinate everything and give yourself plenty of time.

What about security?

You may be concerned about the security of your contents. We supply a locking bar suitable for the cool room door keeping your contents safe and giving you peace of mind.

How do I pay?

Accounts are available on request. Alternatively, payment is due upon delivery of the Cool room to your site and for long term hire age payment is due in advance. We will ask for your email address so all invoices can be forwarded to you when due.
